Annex III. Recognised Institutions and Recognised Programmes Awarding Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees
To automatically recognise bachelor’s and master’s degrees under this agreement, the degrees must be awarded by the recognised higher education institutions listed below and correspond to the recognised programmes mentioned below.
1. In the Flemish Community of Belgium:
- The Flemish Higher Education Register (Hogeronderwijsregister – available in Dutch and English) is the official register listing all recognised (accredited) higher education programmes offered by all recognised (public and private registered) higher education institutions.
It also includes recognised (accredited) higher education programmes previously offered by all recognised (public and private registered) higher education institutions, for example, in the 2008/2009 academic year.
2. In the French Community of Belgium:
- See the legislation Décret du 7 novembre 2013 définissant le paysage de l’enseignement supérieur et l’organisation académique des études, as well as the official registers – Cadastre des établissements d’enseignement supérieur reconnus par la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles and www.mesetudes.be.
3. In the German-speaking Community of Belgium:
- The higher education institution Autonome Hochschule in der Deutschsprachigen Gemeinschaft and the bachelor’s programmes referred to in the legislation Dekret vom 27. Juni 2005 zur Schaffung einer autonomen Hochschule.
4. In the Republic of Estonia:
- A complete list of all recognised higher education institutions offering bachelor’s and master’s degrees and programmes is available on the Estonian ENIC/NARIC website.
5. In the Republic of Latvia:
- Information on accredited higher education institutions in the Republic of Latvia is available on the website or e-platform of the Quality Agency for Higher Education: “Evaluation of higher education institutions/colleges, accreditation of study directions, and licensing of study programmes“.
- Information on the accreditation of study directions (including study programmes) up to 2019 is available in the Study Direction Register.
- Information on qualifications awarded up to 2012 is available at www.aiknc.lv.
6. In the Republic of Lithuania:
- A complete list of all recognised higher education institutions offering bachelor’s and master’s degrees and programmes is available in the AIKOS system, an open information, counselling, and guidance system based on databases and registers.
7. In the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg:
- Bachelor’s and master’s degrees awarded by the University of Luxembourg (Université du Luxembourg) are recognised by law.
- Accredited private higher education institutions and their programmes: see the list prepared by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
8. In the Kingdom of the Netherlands:
- See the official register Centraal Register Opleidingen Hoger Onderwijs (CROHO).
