Project “Road to Automatic Recognition of Higher Education Access Qualifications 2“ (ARAQUA 2)

In terms of Erasmus+ Programme KA3 “Support for Policy Reform”, Academic Information Centre – Latvian ENIC/NARIC implements project “Road to Automatic Recognition of Higher Education Access Qualifications 2” (ARAQUA 2). This project is continuation of the ARAQUA project (2022-2024).

Aims:

  1. To map higher education access qualifications in the project partner countries according to the criteria set in the ARAQUA project (2022-2024) to evaluate their correspondence to automatic recognition.
  2. To facilitate the use of recommendations for NARICs and HEIs about the automatic recognition of HE access qualifications developed in the ARAQUA and explore other tools in terms of the automatic recognition of HE access qualifications
  3. To strengthen discussion among ENIC/NARIC offices and HEIs about the procedures and criteria for automatic recognition of HE access qualifications.

Main activities:

  • To update information or conduct a study about HE access qualifications in the project countries (including collection of the templates of credentials), and their contextual aspects (including available online tools related to the automatic recognition of HE access qualifications) according to the designed methodology;
  • To analyse the collected data and update comparative study report which would include proposals for further steps as regards promoting and supporting implementation of automatic recognition of HE access qualifications in the project partner countries;
  • To facilitate the use of recommendations about automatic recognition of HE access qualifications among the project partner countries by considering opportunities how the data gathered in the desk study could be used for the improvement of other tools supporting automatic recognition of HE access qualifications in the project partner countries;
  • To organise three peer-learning activities in Armenia, Italy and Malta, in order to ensure the exchange of experiences between ENIC/NARIC offices and HEIs about automatic recognition of HE access qualifications;
  • To disseminate the results through websites of the project partners, international final conference and ENIC/NARIC meetings to raise awareness of the involved stakeholders on the automatic recognition of HE access qualifications.
